In case you are ever in South Louisiana, you must take a tour of a bayou. I took this photo in April of 2003 in a bayou just outside of New Orleans. It was a cool quiet morning, the wildlife were plentiful and the overall experience was magnificent.

Savannah Oak
Majestic oak tree in historic Savannah, Georgia.
Date/Time: Tue 07 Jun 2005 01:02:29 PM CDT
Lovely Savannah, where General James Oglethorpe landed and Georgia began in 1733. This majestic Oak tree stands near the old Savannah Cotton Exchange on Bay Street, where the city renovated 80,000 square feet of abandoned warehouse space into a colorful group of shops, restaurants, galleries, and inns. Right on the historic riverfront, this whole area is lined with these beautiful Oaks and other lush greenery.

Volcanic Dreams
Haleakala crater, Maui
Date/Time: Sat 18 Mar 2000 05:55:09 PM CST
When standing 10,000+ feet above the ocean at the summit of the Haleakala volcano, literally above the clouds, you are met with a view that very few people come away from untouched. Looking across this, currently cold and dormant, volcanic crater on the island of Maui is unlike any other landscape you are likely to see anywhere on this planet. Years later, the feeling of awe and wonder still comes back to me when I see my photographs of this unbelievable place.
